Coach Bones Baseball is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use AT BAT MAP.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — used as your unique identifier to save and retrieve your data across sessions
• Baseball performance data — at-bat results, pitch tracking, spray charts, timing responses, game plan answers, and accountability entries
• Pitcher information — names, teams, throwing hands, and pitch types of pitchers you face
• Game information — opponent teams, game dates, scores, and situational data

Information collected automatically:

• Session data to maintain your login state during active use
• Basic usage data to help us improve the App

3. Shared Pitcher Database

AT BAT MAP includes a crowd-sourced pitcher database. Pitcher profiles (name, team, pitch types, location tendencies) you create or contribute to may be visible to other App users. This is a core feature of the App — the more players contribute, the more valuable the scouting data becomes for everyone.

We do not share personally identifiable information about hitters (you) with other users. Your personal stats are private to your account.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database platform. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Pitcher data contributed to the shared database may be retained even after account deletion, as it is part of the collective dataset that benefits all users.

6. We Do Not Sell Your Data

Coach Bones Baseball does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Period.

We may share data with trusted service providers (such as Supabase for database hosting, Railway for app hosting) who assist in operating the App, under strict confidentiality agreements.

7. Children's Privacy

AtBatMap is designed and marketed for baseball players aged 14 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without first obtaining verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Age Verification. At signup, every user provides a date of birth, which cannot be changed after it is saved. If the date of birth indicates the user is 13 years old or younger — a threshold we set one year more conservative than COPPA's own thirteen-and-under line — the signup process requires a parent or guardian's email address instead of the player's own.

Parental Consent Process. When a parent or guardian's email is provided, we send a confirmation email describing what information is collected and how it is used, consistent with this policy. A second, separate confirmation is required afterward to complete consent. A parent or guardian may decline or ignore this process at any time, in which case no account is activated for the child.

What We Collect From a Minor's Account. If consent is granted, we collect the minimal information necessary to operate the app: a login credential (the guardian's email address), the player's name, and baseball performance data the player or their coach enters (at-bats, pitch data, statistics). We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, phone numbers, or allow open communication between users under 13.

How We Use This Information. Data collected from a minor's account is used solely to operate AtBatMap's core features — tracking and displaying the player's own statistics and progress. It is never used for behavioral advertising, and accounts established through this consent process are excluded from marketing or promotional email lists.

Third Parties. We use SendGrid strictly to deliver transactional emails (account confirmation, parental consent, password resets) and Twilio for account-related text notifications. We do not sell, rent, or share a child's information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Parental Rights. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or request permanent deletion of their child's account and data at any time, and may revoke consent previously given, by contacting us at support@atbatmap.com. Revoking consent will result in the child's account and associated data being deleted.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out — stop using the App at any time

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
